The Haunted Library
On October 24th, 2015, the Valley High Public Library held a Haunted Library. Sadly, this was the day of Fall Rally North, so not many Key Clubbers could attend this event. We began by setting up for the event by using creepy props like arms, spiders, cautions tape, feet, eyeballs, and all sorts of strange anomalies. Then we had our makeup done which was nothing short of pale skin, fake blood, stitched, bruise-whatever you could think of it was there. We were looking like true monsters. After we had all that done, we went to the best part of the event- the scaring! There were two types of walkthroughs, the scary and the non-scary. During the non-scary walk, little kids would walk through and all we would have to do is lie there and pretend to sleep. Every now and then –BOOM- I’d slam a book and make a kid jump. It was funny! In the scary walk, we had to dig deep, find our inner creep and scare those kids! This was when the scare got real. I played a mad scientist working on my live experiment, who would wake up and release a vicious scream. It was chilling yet exhilarating at the same time. While at this event, I was surprised by my family which decided to attend this event too. I was very happy to attend this event and I very proud to serve as a Key Clubber.
