On October 3rd and 4th, the Giant Pumpkin Festival took place at Elk Grove Regional Park, unfortunately, I could only volunteer on the fourth. When I arrived at the main center I saw a fellow key clubber and said hi. After, I went and signed in. As a volunteer we get a free t-shirt which lets others know that we were volunteers. I was sent to the arts station to help the other staff and volunteer members. It was lots of fun because it was exciting to see the kids have fun while making crafts such as, superhero masks and capes. I forgot to mention that the festival this year was themed superheroes. At the station I helped make the capes and give the kids their capes after I glued on the emblem that they colored. It was adorable to see the small toddlers with their capes as they pretend to be a superhero. Around the festival were a bunch of company booths, stages, and food trucks. Franklin’s drumline even performed around the park. I went to this event because I had also attended this event last year and I also had fun. I highly recommend for others to go to this event next year because it is interesting to see all the different stations and carnival/venders.
